About me
I am passionate about midwifery and believe that birthing is sacred. My focus is to provide sound information, working in partnership with women/whānau.
I support women willing to birth in primary settings, either at the birthing units or at home, which is proven by research to have the lowest medical intervention rates. I also have hospital access to ensure your continuity of care when clinically indicated.
I work with Katrina Woodham in a shared care model, which means all women will see us alternatively throughout their pregnancy, to enable a relationship with us both. Our clinic is at Avalon Health, Hamilton. I also can do home visits in Raglan.
I am a member of the Waikato Homebirth Collective & I am supported by midwives with similar philosophies.
I am originally from Brazil, so I speak both Portuguese and Spanish. That is where my journey with childbirth started as a doula and women's physiotherapist from 2003. In 2006 I moved to NZ to train as a midwife.
Please email me on larissa.grandi@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible :) alternatively text me Monday to Friday from 9-5pm.
