Malo e lelei and greetings to you all. My name is Lesila Halauafu (Sila) and I’m a Pasifika midwife of Tongan descent, working in Hamilton. Congratulations on your pregnancy. It is an exciting time, as you embark on your journey through pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood. I believe that birth is a normal life event and every woman should be empowered by her own individual experience. I am passionate about helping women and would be privileged to be part of your journey. I look forward to working in partnership with you, supporting you and your family, and ensuring you and your baby’s safety. I work in partnership with Nicky Bishell, so that we can have some time off to reboost and come back fresh to ensure we provide a safe midwifery care for you and your whānau. Nicky and I don't run epidural if you want that in your birth plan. I am married with four young children and I look forward to meeting you soon, should you choose to share your journey with me.
