I am an experienced midwife, based in Warkworth and have had the privilege of walking alongside women and their families since 1999. Consistently over 50% of my births have been in the community at Warkworth Birth Centre (WWBC) or at home. I am passionate about helping women to achieve natural, gentle birth in a low risk setting. If you are looking for a low intervention birth experience, recent research supports that the safest place to labour and give birth is in a low risk birthing centre. We are excited that the new motorway from Puhoi to Warkworth is open, it now makes birthing at WWBC very accessible to Hibiscus Coast and even North Shore women. I give unhurried antenatal care in my clinic in Warkworth and postnatal home visits. I am very happily married to Colin and we have three sons, two of whom were born at home. I am actively involved in a local church and enjoy my large garden.
