Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am a registered midwife based in Invercargill.

I’m originally from Wales where I practised as a community midwife. Since moving to New Zealand, I’ve been employed as a core midwife at Southland Hospital. I am now making the change to become an LMC, following my passion to provide continuity of care, and building a meaningful relationship with those I support during pregnancy.

The relationship between a midwife and wāhine/women/birthing people and their whānau is a very special one. I am able to provide midwifery care through your pregnancy and for up to 6 weeks postnatally.

As an LMC, my aim is to empower and be an advocate for you; to provide you with safe and evidence based care that allows you to make the best decisions for you and your whānau.

Whilst pregnancy and birth are 'normal' life events, I recognise that this is not the case for everyone. I will work in partnership with you to provide individualised care, with you at the centre.

I share a clinic room with my colleague Anne Dymond, at Salford Street Invercargill. Regular antenatal clinics are currently held on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
