Congratulations on your hapūtanga!
Pregnancy provides opportunities for you to wānanga with your whānau and pēpi, to remind yourself of your intrinsic mana motuhake and reclaim birth practices that are unique to your whānau. I am proud to provide safe & excellent standards of primary midwifery care, working within my scope of practice & sharing information that upholds hauora for you and your whānau to make the right decision throughout hapūtanga, birth and up to 6 weeks postnatal. I am confident in birth and hapūtanga as a normal, natural, whānau-centred event.
I am incredibly passionate about Māori women's health. Due to the limited number of Māori midwives I must prioritise the care of whānau Māori and reserve availability each month for those choosing to birth at home or in the community (Levin & Te Papaioea Birthing Unit).
I look forward to working alongside you and your whānau, striving to reach your full potential throughout hapūtanga and mātuatanga.
Please TEXT or EMAIL with your full name, date of birth, the month you are due, what number pēpi, and a contact phone number.
