Congratulations on your pregnancy!

My name is Marketa and I am a registered midwife based in South Auckland. I am originally from Czech Republic but came to NZ 14 years ago on an OE and have never left. I have married into a Samoan family and my husband and I have two amazing boys.

Since becoming a midwife i have been working as both core hospital midwife and more recently an LMC midwife before I went on maternity leave with my second child. Now I am back into the workforce joining amazing team at Botany birthing unit.

My role as your midwife is to provide holistic, individualised midwifery care from early pregnancy up to 4-6 weeks post birth. I am passionate about working in partnership with you and your whānau and being part of the most life-changing experience in your life. I believe pregnancy and birth are a natural physiological process, and I endeavour to provide a positive care experience. I provide care to women wanting to birth in Botany Birthing Unit.
