Congratulations on your pregnancy. I completed my Midwifery Degree in 2000 & have worked in a variety of settings including Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary levels. I am the mother of 3 adult children & Nana to 5 beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy my work immensely & derive satisfaction from supporting women, their partners & family/whānau through Pregnancy, Childbirth & becoming Parents. I consider it a privilege to be part of this journey. I believe each woman is unique in her needs, culturally, physically, mentally & socially, thus I adapt my practice to fit with each woman’s needs. I believe that for most women, pregnancy and childbirth is a normal life event. My role is to provide a safe environment for women to achieve this & as necessary, help guide them in their journey, at Home, Birthing Centre, or Hospital. I endeavour to provide Continuity of Care with my practice partner.
