Nicky (Nicola) Hamdi-Pacha
About me
Kia ora, congratulations on your pregnancy! I offer midwifery care through pregnancy, labour and birth and up to 6 weeks postnatally. I share my midwifery knowledge and encourage whānau to share their knowledge as we work together. My aim is to help you feel safe and confident as you and your whānau prepare for birth and your pēpi. I believe if women take care of their health & nutrition during pregnancy and feel safe, it helps build a path to a positive pregnancy, birth experience and forever! I am able to arrange any necessary referrals to other health professionals if required.
My focus is primary birth and I offer birth at home or Te Papaioea Birth Centre (PN hospital some circumstances).
I work alongside Amanda Douglas, who shares my philosophy.
Small caseload of 2-4 women each month.
Antenatal visits at 20 Pirie Street PN, postnatal visits are at home.
Koera Tua, Sarah Birch, Renaye Judd and Jodie Barnett complete our backup midwifery team
