My name is Avin and I work as a registered midwife in the Christchurch area. I am passionate about women's health and believe pregnancy and childbirth are normal, yet significant events in a woman’s life. Every woman deserves safe, compassionate, quality care that is individualised to her specific needs. I support women to birth where they feel most comfortable; at home, in primary units or at Christchurch Women’s Hospital. I am also epidural certified.

Having a background in medical research, I understand the importance in keeping up with current research / guidelines, and providing evidence based care / advice to enable you to make informed decisions throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
