Kia Orana, congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m Emily, a midwife working in Ōtautahi/Christchurch.

As a midwife and a māmā, I believe that the journey to parenthood can be an empowering and important time. My goal is to partner with you, sharing evidence-based information and supporting you to make informed choices that are right for you and your whānau. I aim to provide professional care where you feel supported, empowered and safe.

I am a positive person who views pregnancy, birth and early parenthood as normal and wonderful life events. I will encourage you to trust your body and support you to achieve your best possible birthing outcome.

I work closely with a lovely team of midwives in the Homebirth practice. I focus on supporting home births and those in birth centres (primary units) where avoidable interventions are most easily minimised, providing care in the hospital only when necessary.

My clinic room is located in Halswell and I do a mixture of home and clinic appointments.
