About me
*** Please note that I am currently on maternity leave, so please contact my back up Amy on 021 170 7814 between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. She will provide care for you until I return to practice early next year. ***
Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! I provide care from conception, through pregnancy, labour and birth, and up to 6 weeks postnatally. I follow best-practice and evidence based care and am confident in supporting you to birth at home or in a primary unit, as this is where the research says women who are experiencing low risk pregnancies are safest. I am passionate about supporting you and your whānau to welcome your newest member in these locations. I care for women who birth at Christchurch Women’s Hospital when clinically indicated, and am happy to support elective caesareans or VBACs, however my practice chooses not to have epidural certification.
I work in a beautiful and supportive practice, Danu Midwives, who all share a strong philosophy in holistic woman-centred primary care. Usually, my back up Amy and I share time on/off call, each working 3.5 days a week as we both have young children. We each take a very small caseload to ensure we have time to offer every woman individualised care.
*** As I am currently on maternity leave, please call or text Amy on 021 170 7814 Monday- Friday 9-5. Please include your full name, date of birth, suburb, NHI number if you know it, the date your last period started/ your estimated due date, and what number baby this is. You will receive a reply to your enquiry during business hours.
