Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! A little bit about me…I have three children and work in a practice with five other midwives. I believe it is important to build a partnership with women and their family. Childbirth is an amazing, life changing event; it was through the experiences of having my own children and working alongside women that I came to understand the unpredictability of birth and the decisions that women can face during their pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal period. As a midwife, it is my role to encourage, advocate and provide up to date information to women and their families so they can make informed decisions around their childbirth experience. I currently provide home visits and support women to birth at home, Rolleston, Rangiora, Kurawaka and Christchurch Women’s hospital. I believe it is a privilege to walk alongside women and families during their maternity journey and I look forward to hearing from you.
