Hello there, congratulations on your pregnancy. As a mother of 3 I know you are beginning a very exciting journey. I practise evidence based midwifery which means I know what works and I don't interfere with the natural processes. I work with you to have the best birth you can and am very proud of how amazing women are. At my recent Standards Review I was complimented on my successful birth outcomes - but it's not my birth, it's yours. So I will support you to have a home or primary unit birth - as these are safest for most women. If you need to go to Christchurch Women's I will be right beside you offering continuity of care. I provide antenatal care based at the Rangiora Health Hub and Kaikoura community hospital and will support you postnatally at home in the Waimakariri, Hurunui and Kaikoura districts for the full 6 weeks as you get to know your baby.
