Kia Ora, and welcome to the exciting journey to parenthood. I’m Kim, I provide care in Christchurch and surrounding areas, predominantly providing support to women and whānau planning to birth at home. Myself and my practice specialise in supporting home births, with birth pools provided for labour support. My clinic is located at the Midwifery Resource Centre, 376 Manchester Street. I work closely with my practice partners and we have a shared philosophy that acknowledges the normal process of birth by giving women ownership over their pregnancy birth and postnatal journey and by minimising avoidable interventions. I feel passionate about building a strong partnership with women and their families so that they may be empowered to make informed decisions when it comes to the care they receive. I am happy to support labour and birth care at home, or within a hospital environment when clinically indicated. It’d be great to meet up and discuss how I can support you on your journey.
