My midwifery journey began after having my 2 sons, now teenagers. I was, & still am, in awe of our amazing bodies & the empowering experience becoming a mother can be. Motherhood is exciting, life changing & sometimes an overwhelming experience & I am here to help. I take pride in providing good care for my clients. My passion is providing information & education about choices for you, your baby & your whānau. Creating your unique plan of care, listening to your needs & discussing current research. I believe pregnancy & birth is a significant yet normal life event. I support & encourage women to trust their body's natural ability in this process, whilst being watchful & offering referrals when recommended. I provide care for women choosing to birth at home, a birthing unit/primary maternity hospital, or CHCH Women's Hospital only when medically recommended. I also support water births. I have a clinic on Fitzgerald Ave on Tuesday afternoons 1.30pm-5pm or in Halswell Mondays and Wednesdays.
